Wowowow this hostel project is amazing. The owners are so beautiful and kind. When I first arrived in San Cris I found there to be alot of men (the hostel I stayed before historika I was the only female) so to find and all female sanctuary here with beautiful women and a safe space to stay I felt so much relief. The owners are fantastic musicians as well so it is easy to join them and their friends out in town. With a garden in the back , yoga mats, tiendas and affordable coffee near by, it is easy for this place to feel like home away from home. Incredible family lunches every day for a low price (I believe 40 pesos) really is the cherry on top of a great stay (that and the very hot showers to help you with the cooler temperatures of San Cris). Gracias por todo historika y todas mis hermanas ahí.

I stayed at this hostel for a week and it's such a special place to base yourself in San Cristobal! It is a queer, feminist hostel that holds artistic events throughout the week! All the people who were volunteering were so kind and friendly and there are daily communal lunches for only 30pesos. Everyone is also so encouraging of creative expression and gaining a deeper experience of San Cristobal. Cannot recommend enough!! Thank you for everything Historika!

Historika is a really amazing place. All of the volunteers are super nice and welcoming. It’s a really great environment for womens and LGBT rights, they have super cool percussion and music events every week, and they’ve done incredible activist work. Definitely come check out Historika if you’re in San Cris!

As a traveller, I have known and stayed in a lot of places but nothing like this hostel. It made me feel safe at all times, surrounded by the nicest women I have ever met . The volunteers work non-stop for the community. They cooked delicious lunches and taught me a lot about music, gardening, art and compassion. If you are a woman travelling in Mexico, you must come here, there is no other place where you will feel more at home, except your own home haha And a plus it's the cost! It didn't cost much and I had all the services, hot water, a good bathroom, an excellent meal and a nice and warm room. I am finishing my stay today but I know for sure I will come back. Thanks Historika for so much love.

Great, loving, womxns only hostel on the east side of the city. Apart from the colorful murals, fantastic, handmade lunch every day, historika is more of a family than just a hostel. It's womxn supporting womxn and definitely a very wholesome experience.

Amaaaazing hostel of all women! I think their website isn’t always up to date for lodging, but call or contact on WhatsApp to know about a room!!! This place has a beautiful mission of creating a safe space for women & there’s always something fun to do in the hostel. It’s almost like a trap you never want to leave!!!

I loved staying in Historika Hostel and am missing it to this day! It is a queerfeminist project run by such kind and inspiring people. It was a great spot to calm down a little and relax. The neighborhood is a little further out but still super calm and we felt save in it as well. Highly recommend visiting Historika (and if you're not staying there then come by on a sunday for beautiful live musik & empanadas)
